SUPPORT FOR URGENT COVID-19 HEALTHCARE

Ecoglo has an office in the Philippines
3 days ago one of our Ecoglo Whānau, Rowee Anne Villanueva-Solis, was rushed to hospital. Rowee Anne is expecting her second child in 3 months but is now suffering with severe complications from COVID-19.
In New Zealand we are lucky to have a great public health system but in the Philippines it is pay as you go.
Rowee Anne’s treatment is currently costing NZ$1,200 per day, her family and friends are contributing as much as they can but $1,200 per day is an enormous amount of money for them to find.
Every day of treatment is vital for Rowee Anne and her baby so any contributions will be much appreciated.

AUSTRALIAN STANDARD FOR PL EXIT SIGNS RELEASED FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

There has been progress in getting an Australian Standard for Photoluminescent Exit Signs with the release of a draft standard for public comment.

You can learn more about AS 5358.1 by downloading a media release from here: https://ecoglo.com.au/pl-exit-signs-draft-standard/

As many have reported there has been a lot of vigorous opposition from competing industry players so it’s important that you have your say.

It can be as simple as writing “I support the draft as written”. Login to the Standards Australia website here: https://comment.standards.org.au/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2Fhttp://

Ecoglo Approved for FernMark

We’re excited to announce that Ecoglo International has become a New Zealand FernMark Licensee. The FernMark License Programme is an NZ Government initiative that gives Ecoglo products the “tick of approval” from the NZ Government as being “Made in NZ” and representing the best of NZ around the world.

VISIBLY BETTER PATH MARKING

The Silver Fern is an iconic symbol of New Zealand and resonates with Ecoglo’s values. Traditionally, Māori used the fern as a path marker as its arrow shape was a natural pointer and was highly visible at night with moonlight and rama (flaming torches) reflecting off the “silver” underside of the fern.

Most importantly the Silver Fern represents resilience, perseverance and perpetual motion, this Māori whakataukī (proverb) says it all:

‘Mate atu he toa, ara mai he toa’
When one warrior dies, another arises.

‘Mate atu he tētēkura, ara mai he tētēkura’
When one fern dies, another emerges.
